Considering the success of previous, spontaneous "Drive-by" shows, Jeff Hyde of Architectural Solutions, and Dave O'Neal, Dryvit Field Service Manager, decided that would be the way to show the Penguin Chopper off in Northwest Arkansas.

Efforts were coordinated with Mark Diehl of Diehl Enterprizes to show the bike at several locations. A Lunch-time stop at the PB2 architectural firm started the day where the Chopper was staged for viewing at the employee entrance so the folk’s could stop and visit on their way back from lunch. At least 60 people stopped to ask questions and marvel at the "TV Star" and of course, everyone always wants to know when the drawing  will take place. After about 45 minutes, the Chopper made its way by Northwest Arkansas Community College to visit with the guys at a new building where Mark will soon be installing Outsulation. The third stop was at the offices of Crossland Construction where we talked shop with Chris Crossland, a bike enthusiast and a close associate of Mark’s. Across the street we set up on the front sidewalk of the Hight-Jackson architectural firm whose building graced the cover of Penguin Press not so long ago. About 15 - 20 folks from that firm took a break for a cold drink and spent a little time with us. From there, the Chopper moved to the site of a brand new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market where Mark's people are doing a great job executing a new exterior design for Wal-Mart using our materials. The hard-hat crowd gathered quickly to see the shiny new thing that rolled out of our trailer. Those guys are quick with the cracks...one guys said it looks like a new donut shop must have opened up in that corner of the parking lot. Another noted that looking at the bike was just about better than looking at girls 'cause you can stare as long as you want without embarrassing yourself. Crossland Construction is the GC on that job and their people also got a kick out of seeing the Chopper.

The Chopper was put way for the night and one more person got to see the bike...Mark's wife, Julie. Dave and Jeff are in serious trouble with dear Julie, since it seems Mark contracted Chopper Fever sometime during the afternoon.
