Outsulation Rail System (DUK660) External Insulation And Finish System |
Dryvit offers a wide range of external insulation and finish systems both adhesively and mechanically fastened. All of Dryvit's systems have been designed to meet and exceed construction standards and to offer choices in attachment methods, insulation materials and exterior finishes.
The Outsulation Rail system is a mechanically fastened EIFS system which is ideal for use on lightweight steel or timber framed structures where there is a requirement for a cavity or over solid, damaged or brittle substrates with irregular surfaces in new build or retrofit situations.
The
rigid UPVC or Aluminium tracks are mounted directly onto the substrate and set
out to accommodate the insulation boards and wall openings. The system can
be installed over most substrates including masonry, concrete, wood, or metal
framing with sheathing. When used over existing substrates, this fixing
method eliminates the need for levelling, which saves time and money.
The expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation board component of the system has a 15 kg/m3 average density and has a thermal conductivity value of 0.037 W/m K.
Since the insulation is an integral part of the system and is installed on the outside of the building, it provides maximum thermal efficiency, by minimizing thermal bridges.
Mineral wool option available, please consult Dryvit UK Ltd. for information.
Weatherability: The Outsulation Rail system components provide a rainscreen of protection against wind and water-in all weather conditions. Dryvits products are formulated to provide the utmost in weather protection.
Durability: An integral part of the system, fiberglass reinforcement mesh is available in a number of different strengths, meeting design requirements for impact resistance in virtually any location. The total wall system provides unsurpassed long-term durability.
Finishes: Dryvit finishes are available in a wide variety of textures and colours. Even the look of natural stone, granite and brick is possible! All Dryvit finishes use Dirt Pickup Resistant (DPR) chemistry, ensuring the highest standard of weather, chemical and fade resistance.
Aluminium Starter Track Horizontal track used on lower termination of system. Extends to outer face of the insulation board. (See detail RS 0.0.08.)
UPVC or Aluminium Holding Track L shaped track with double outer flange, which fits, into adjoining EPS boards. Track may be used horizontally or vertically. (See detail RS 0.0.05.) Backside of track is fastened to substrate.
UPVC or Aluminium T Spline used on vertical edges of EPS boards. Fits into two adjoining EPS blocks and holding track. (See detail RS 0.0.06.)
Shims Used on backside of holding track to insure the grid is in-plane. Shims also used to provide the necessary cavity dimension where required.
UPVC or Aluminium Termination Track Same as holding track with only one outer flange. (See detail RS 0.0.07.)
Expanded Polystyrene Insulation (EPS) 500 mm x 500 mm grooved insulation boards. (See detail RS 0.0.04.)
Dryvit Reinforcing Mesh Provides rigidity to the base coat to improve impact strength and crack resistance.
Base coat Genesis or NCB.
