Windsor Terrace, a 12-story mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta, is a model of sustainable construction and architectural innovation. Completed in September 2023, the 60,000 sq ft building combines residential and commercial spaces with LEED Silver certification. The design/build team utilized Dryvit’s Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) with 4 in. of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation to enhance energy efficiency and minimize thermal bridging. Dryvit’s Outsulation MD system ensured superior moisture management, while Weatherlastic and Elastomeric finishes provided a striking façade with long-lasting vibrancy.
The project’s seamless integration of compatible sealants and deck coating membranes from Tremco Sealants delivered a durable, airtight and watertight envelope backed by a 14-year system warranty. This comprehensive solution combined energy savings, sustainability, and design flexibility needed to bring this vision to life.
