Architectural metal wall or facade panels are engineered metal sheet systems that clad a building's exterior to protect the structure and shape its appearance. Metalite offers two main families: metal composite material (MCM) panels and engineered aluminum “single-skin” panels. Choose based on look, performance, customization needs, installation type and budget.  

MCM panels bond two thin metal skins to a fire-retardant core for a flat, rigid, large-format look. Single-skin panels use one solid aluminum sheet for high formability and easy individual panel replacement. Metalite offers both, so you can match the system to your design and performance goals. Unlike most single-skin systems, Metalite single-skin panels are part of an engineered assembly featuring a patented fix click rail attachment system.  

Metalite gives you two rainscreen options. The single-skin Metalite FC Rainscreen uses a patented Fix Click rail for flexible installation and easy panel replacement. The MCM Metalite 8000 is a drained, back-ventilated rainscreen with a clean, rivetless look. Both systems maintain a high level of cavity ventilation ensuring moisture has a chance to dry or drain.  

Facade panels stop at the roofline, and coordinated flashing handles the transition. At parapets, panels terminate below a coping or counterflashing tied to the roof membrane. At roof-to-wall junctions, base flashing such as Tremco ExoAir 110AT laps  over the wall barrier so water sheds outward. All these details can be coordinated with our compatible Vulkem Roofing Series liquid-applied roof waterproofing membranes and underlayments and Metalite Standing Seam Roofing (SSR) systems.  

Perforated facade panels control light and airflow while adding a partially transparent, veiled effect. Metalite Perforated Panels offer free areas from 16 to 51 percent, making them ideal for shading, sunscreens, parking garages and mechanical enclosures. They pair easily with solid facade surfaces for a cohesive look. 

Standing seam facade panels suit projects that need a seamless, weathertight look that carries from wall to roof. Metalite Standing Seam is a multi-use aluminum panel with high formability and vertical or horizontal seam lines. It offers strong weather resistance, low maintenance and a broad range of finishes. Metalite offers compatible standing seam roof panels to support building designs that blend metal wall to roof for a bold, contemporary aesthetic.

Metalite 3100 uses route-and-return fabrication with continuous interlocking extrusions and concealed integral gaskets, so joints need no field-applied sealant. Metalite 8000 is a drained, back-ventilated ACM/MCM rainscreen with joint splines and a rivetless design at roughly 2.29 lb/sf. The Metalite FC Rainscreen manages water within a ventilated cavity behind the panels. Confirm the joint strategy with your wall consultant and Metalite Metal Panel Rep based on climate, exposure and the primary water-control layer in your assembly. 

Metalite panels serve as the exterior cladding, while the air and weather barrier behind them maintains envelope continuity. For sunscreens, parking garages and mechanical enclosures, Metalite Perforated Panels provide shading and partial transparency while controlling light and airflow, with free areas from 16 to 51 percent. Perforated panels are available in rainscreen,  and standing seam profiles, suit severe or high-moisture environments including salt spray, and integrate easily with solid facade surfaces. Confirm panel sizes, free-area selection and stiffener requirements with delegated design. 

The Metalite FC Rainscreen mounts aluminum panels on a patented Fix Click modular click rail that secures panels for quick, efficient installation. Because the system is non-directional, crews can install panels to suit site conditions, which helps in tight or complex areas. The same design allows you to adjust or replace individual panels during and after installation, improving field quality control and long-term serviceability 

Performance and coverage vary by system, so review the specific terms for your project. The FC Rainscreen is tested to the CAN/ULC S134 fire standard and supports individual panel replacement via its Fix Click rail. The MCM systems are notably lightweight: Metalite 3100 is about 2.89 lb/sf and Metalite 8000 is about 2.29 lb/sf, both reducing structural load. Metalite 8000 carries a market-leading warranty of up to 30 years on the metal finish, 10 years for delamination, and 5 years for fabrication workmanship. Metalite 8000 also carries its own ESR for structural performance and ESL for NFPA 285 fire performance ensuring complete ICC compliance. All Metalite systems are designed for tested compatibility with Tremco sealants, air barriers and waterproofing products.  Request current warranty and fire-test documents to confirm coverage for your assembly.
