Extra Space Storage

Challenge

The owner of ExtraSpace Storage needed his facility to be up and running quickly to meet the demands of the area. The city of Indianapolis wanted the façade to be traditional clay brick, but the existing design details would not accommodate it.

Solution

Little Construction proposed a lighter-weight alternative using Dryvit’s Outsulation® Plus MD and NewBrick® that would meet all the stakeholders’ needs.

There were no issues with brick ties, angles or supports that would be found in conventional masonry, so the systems made for easy installation for the contractor. The continuous insulation and lightweight nature of the cladding materials satisfied both the architectural and city demands.
