The StucCoat One-Coat + CI system typically consists of the following components, as determined by specific code and performance requirements.
StucCoat One-Coat + CI is a complete stucco assembly with continuous insulation (CI) for above-grade exterior walls, soffits and ceilings in residential and commercial buildings. It is a code-compliant assembly that is installed over various approved sheathing surfaces in a single coat — or alternatively as a conventional 2-coat scratch and brown system.
Available StucCoat textures include Standard, Fine, Lace and Bold, and the system can be finished in any of Dryvit’s 250+ standard colors, which include high-performance StratoTone™ pigment technology for bold, lasting color.
The StucCoat One-Coat +CI system also incorporates expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation boards for enhanced energy efficiency, a fluid-applied air/water-resistive barrier for moisture management and can be enhanced with a reinforced crack isolation membrane for increased stress crack resistance. Fire resistant assemblies are also available. (Consult with Dryvit / Tremco CPG Inc. technical services department for further details.)
This system’s concentrated and sanded cement plaster bases can be installed in a single coat application at a minimum of 3/8 inch thick or a 2-coat scratch and brown conventional application at a minimum 7/8-inch thickness complying with ASTM C926.
Dryvit’s industry-leading expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS) continuous insulation can improve almost any structure’s energy efficiency by helping to lower heating/cooling demands and in turn, the building’s overall operational costs.
Built within the StucCoat textures, Dryvit’s high-performance StratoTone™ pigment technology means the system will have bold, vibrant, fade-resistant color for the long term.
The StucCoat One-Coat system is naturally crack resistant thanks to its mesh and fiber-reinforced base coat, but an optional Crack Isolation Membrane can boost crack resistance even further with its fiberglass mesh reinforcement.
Depending on the air- and water-resistive barrier, Dryvit textured finish coating, continuous insulation, and Tremco joinery and sealants selected, warranty terms can be configured from 10 up to potentially 20 years.
As part of Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG), Dryvit StucCoat systems have the added benefit of tested, proven compatibility with many Tremco sealants, air barriers and waterproofing products, and Willseal expansion joints — to help create truly comprehensive building enclosures.
